Day 26Growing Through Temptation
James 1:12
Every temptation is an opportunity to do good. Every time you choose to do good and not sin, you're growing closer to the character of Christ. One of the most brief written description and clearly about his character is the fruit of the Spirit.God develops the fruit of the Spirit to let you experience a variety of circumstances where you are tempted to reveal the nature of which is exactly the opposite.Temptation always starts in your mind is not in the state. We think temptation is all around us, but God says that temptation begins within us.
The steps you need to take to overcome temptation:
1. Do not be intimidated. Temptation is a sign that Satan hates you, not a sign of weakness or the nature of your worldliness.
2. Recognize your pattern of temptation and be prepared to deal with it. The devil knows exactly what makes you slip, and he is constantly working to incorporate you into those circumstances.
3. Ask God's help. God wants you to ask for His help to overcome temptation.
Point to ponder: All temptation is an opportunity to do good.
Verse to memorize: "Blessed are those who endure temptation, for when he was resistant ji, he will receive the crown of life promised by God to those who love Him." James 1:12
