Jakarta as the capital city of Indonesia plays a very important role in the growth of the country: economically, politically and also spiritually. What happens in Jakarta will set the tone in other cities in Indonesia. The city is known for its dynamic movement as one of the largest mega city in Asia. Despite the greatness of the city, Jakarta needs the love of Christ more than ever. Jakarta needs a spiritual awakening. How do we start it? Let's start it with the young & dynamic people of the city. Jakarta for Jesus is an event to build a momentum for the young people to rise up. The vision for Jakarta for Jesus is: raising up a new revival generation. Actually, is not an event, it's a movement! Join us in this movement!

The movement has spread the fire of Revival and evangelism in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia. Jakarta & Surabaya for Jesus is an event that cannot be missed! The conference will equip each participant with in-depth, yet practical teaching of the word of God. It will be full of magnificent presence of God through praise and worship. The International speakers and guest stars have been chosen specifically to impart the powerful anointing of the Holy Spirit that can ignite the fire of Revival and Evangelism movement all across Asia. Siap menghadapi penghakiman Allah

Ayat : Lukas 12:49-59

Kedatangan Tuhan Yesus ada dua fase. Fase pertama sudah selesai, yaitu inkarnasi-Nya untuk penyelamatan manusia. Pada fase ini fokusnya pada penyelamatan, tetapi melalui penghakiman atas dosa. Api melambangkan penghakiman. Siapa yang dihakimi? Ternyata Yesus sendiri yang menjadi penanggung hukuman dosa manusia. Melalui kematian-Nya, orang yang percaya Yesus dilepaskan dari penghakiman. Namun mereka yang tidak percaya Yesus dengan sendirinya akan menghadapi fase kedua kedatangan Yesus sebagai Hakim yang adil.

Ayat 49-53 ditujukan kepada para murid, yaitu mereka yang memercayai karya salib Kristus sehingga beroleh pengampunan dosa. Dalam dunia ini mereka akan dibenci dan ditolak oleh dunia yang menolak dan membenci Yesus. Dan hal itu bisa terjadi justru di keluarga-keluarga (52-53). Menyedihkan memang, tetapi itulah faktanya. Perikop ini mengingatkan para murid agar jangan sampai menyerah atau kompromi hanya karena tidak ingin dimusuhi atau dianiaya.

Sebaliknya pada ayat 54-59, Yesus mengarahkan pembicaraannya kepada orang banyak. Mereka yang belum memutuskan mau percaya Yesus atau menolak Dia, tidak akan bisa lama-lama dalam keadaan yang ambigu. Mereka harus memutuskan segera karena kalau Tuhan Yesus datang kembali kelak, kesempatan bertobat sudah habis. Ilustrasinya adalah, selama lawan belum pergi mengadukan perkaranya kepada hakim, masih ada kesempatan untuk berdamai (58). Kapan waktunya? Sekarang ini! Kenapa tidak boleh ditunda? Karena tanda-tanda zaman sudah jelas (54-56), Yesus akan segera datang kembali sebagai HAKIM.

Rangkaian pengajaran Tuhan Yesus di pasal-pasal ini jelas dengan tegas mengingatkan bahwa bermain-main dengan dosa dan menunda-nunda waktu pertobatan bisa berakibat fatal. Demikian juga seorang yang mengaku anak Tuhan, tetapi tidak serius hidup di dalam Tuhan, ia akan tidak berkenan kepada Tuhan. Mudah-mudahan Anda bukan keduanya!

Pembela umat tertindas

Ayat : Mazmur 9:1-11

Penindasan bisa terjadi di mana-mana. Yang ditindas biasanya rakyat kecil, yang miskin, tidak berdaya, dan dianggap hina. Siapa yang bisa mengatasi masalah sosial seperti ini? Seharusnya pemerintah yang menegakkan hukum dan keadilan. Namun kalau oknum pemerintah bertindak menindas, apa yang harus kita lakukan?

Mazmur 9 dan 10 sebenarnya merupakan satu mazmur. Mazmur 10 tidak memiliki judul, tidak seperti mazmur-mazmur Daud lainnya. Kedua mazmur ini memiliki tema yang menyambung, yaitu Allah sebagai pembela dan pelindung orang yang tertindas.

Bagian pertama mazmur ini (9:1-11) adalah pernyataan syukur atas karya Allah bagi umat-Nya. Di sini pemazmur mewakili bangsanya. Apa yang dialami bangsanya, baik penindasan musuh maupun perlindungan Allah, dia akui sebagai pengalaman pribadinya (9:4-5). Pemazmur merasakan kepedulian Allah terhadap masalah yang menimpa umatnya. Ayat-ayat 9:13, 19, 10:18 menjelaskan masalah tersebut sebagai penindasan atas orang lemah, miskin, dan tak berdaya. Bagi pemazmur, Allah adalah hakim yang adil yang membela perkara umatnya (9:5, 8-9). Bangsa-bangsa yang jahat dan orang-orang yang fasik akan menerima penghukuman dari Allah yang berdaulat.

Bukan hanya anak-anak Tuhan yang bisa mengalami penindasan karena iman mereka, tetapi semua orang yang berada pada posisi rendah, tidak berdaya secara status sosial, dan yang lemah juga bisa mengalaminya. Maka panggilan kita untuk berjuang menegakkan keadilan dan kebenaran seharusnya bukan hanya ditujukan untuk saudara seiman saja, tetapi juga untuk masyarakat tertindas yang belum mengenal Kristus. Ingat, kita sendiri pernah ditolong Allah dari penindasan dosa. Waktu kita berjuang demi mereka yang tertindas, kita mengharapkan Allah bertindak dengan kuasa-Nya. Di situlah kesaksian Kristen kita menjadi nyata dan relevan.

Sigap dan setia melayani

Ayat : Lukas 12:35-48

Apa bukti bahwa seseorang sungguh-sungguh anak Tuhan? Perikop sebelum ini membicarakan bahwa anak Tuhan sejati tidak terjebak pada materialisme, karena dia tahu hanya Allah yang menjadi Tuannya. Di perikop ini, anak Tuhan sejati adalah dia yang mengerti kehendak Tuannya dan selalu siap sedia melayani Dia.

Orang Kristen diilustrasikan sebagai seorang hamba yang tidak punya hak apa-apa karena dimiliki oleh Allah. Pemahaman yang benar akan kepemilikan Allah atas dirinya akan ditunjukkan dengan kesetiaan dan kesiap sediaan seorang hamba dalam melayani Tuannya setiap waktu. Apa hasil dari kesetiaan itu? Sungguh mengejutkan, Tuannya yang melihat sikap si hamba akan melayani si hamba untuk makan minum (37). Pembalikan ini tentu bukan hal normal. Namun memang bagi anak Tuhan yang mengikut Tuhan dengan setia selalu ada hal yang luar biasa Tuhan lakukan untuk mereka.

Ilustrasi yang lain adalah seorang tuan rumah yang berjaga-jaga terhadap pencuri yang datang malam hari. Kedatangan Tuhan adalah misteri. Betapa pun anak Tuhan memahami Tuhan, tetap saja ada hal yang tidak terduga. Maka tidak ada cara lain selain selalu waspada dan berjaga-jaga. Apa hasil dari berjaga-jaga? Yesus kembali kepada ilustrasi yang pertama dan melengkapinya. Tuan rumah yang kaya dan punya banyak hamba akan menyerahkan penjagaan rumah kepada kepala para hamba. Bila kepala tersebut berjaga-jaga dengan benar, ia akan semakin dipercaya oleh tuannya, sehingga diberi tugas yang lebih penting lagi (44). Jelas ilustrasi ini ditujukan kepada para pemimpin Kristen!

Perikop ini bicara mengenai berjaga-jaga menghadapi kedatangan Yesus kedua kali. Perikop ini juga bicara tentang sikap seorang anak Tuhan yang seharusnya dalam hidup ini. Dia adalah hamba, yang bertugas melayani dengan sigap dan setia. Apakah kita adalah anak Tuhan yang setia dan siap sedia melayani Dia? Setia pada perkara kecil, Tuhan akan berikan kepercayaan yang lebih besar! Jangan lupa, Tuhan menyebut kita berbahagia (37, 38, 43).

Ayat : Lukas 12:22-34

Seorang penafsir mengomen-tari perikop hari ini dan perikop sebelumnya (Luk. 12:13-21) demikian: "ketamakan tidak pernah merasa cukup, kekhawatiran tidak pernah cukup." Kedua-duanya adalah dosa disebabkan terjebak materialisme. Kedua-duanya mengukur hidup dengan materi.

Yesus mengingatkan para murid untuk tidak terikat kepada materi. Materi memang dibutuhkan untuk hidup di dunia ini, tetapi materi bukan segala-galanya. Yesus mengajak mereka untuk melihat kepada Allah Bapa, sumber segala berkat. Dialah yang di dalam kasih-Nya telah memelihara ciptaan-Nya sendiri. Dua contoh (24, 27) yang diberikan Yesus seharusnya cukup untuk meyakinkan para murid bahwa Allah adalah Allah yang peduli dengan ciptaan-Nya, termasuk mereka, manusia yang adalah ciptaan spesial. Kalau mereka masih khawatir juga, berarti mereka tidak beriman. Berarti mereka tidak percaya bahwa Allah peduli kepada mereka atau mereka meragukan bahwa Allah berkuasa menolong mereka. Apa bedanya orang Kristen dengan orang dunia kalau begitu? Orang dunia berfokus bukan kepada Tuhan melainkan kepada materi.

Tuhan Yesus kemudian secara positif mengingatkan para murid bahwa Allah peduli kepada mereka. Yang mereka harus lakukan adalah memercayai Allah dalam hidup mereka dan taat melakukan firman-Nya. Apa yang dapat membuktikan bahwa mereka percaya sepenuhnya kepada Tuhan? Pertama, dengan memfokuskan hidup untuk mencari Kerajaan Tuhan (31). Artinya, melakukan hal-hal yang memperkenan Tuhan sebagai Raja dan Pemilik hidup. Kedua, dengan memakai materi pemberian Tuhan untuk melayani sesama yang membutuhkan (33). Dengan cara demikian, anak-anak Tuhan sedang memperkaya hidup mereka dengan kekayaan surgawi. Anak Tuhan harus percaya bahwa Tuhanlah yang akan mencukupi kebutuhan-kebutuhan mereka. Lalu bagaimana dengan kita sendiri? Apa yang kita sedang kumpulkan? Harta dunia atau harta surgawi? Ingatlah bahwa di mana hartamu berada di situ juga hatimu berada (34).

Hidup bergantung pada Allah

Ayat : Lukas 12:13-21

Banyak keluarga Kristen berantakan hidupnya karena orang tua tidak punya waktu untuk bersama-sama anak-anak mereka. Alasan klasik yang biasa terungkap adalah tidak punya waktu karena sibuk cari uang. Ya, uang telah menjadi tuan mereka, memperbudak bahkan hampir seluruh aspek dalam kehidupan mereka.

Itu sebabnya Yesus tidak menerima permintaan agar Dia menjadi penengah bagi perselisihan antar saudara mengenai harta warisan. Dia tahu perebutan warisan itu terjadi karena ketamakan (15) dan hati yang diperbudak harta. Maka Yesus mengingatkan orang banyak bahwa harta bukanlah segala-galanya dalam hidup.

Orang kaya di perumpamaan itu disebut sebagai orang bodoh. Ia bodoh bukan karena tidak pandai mengelola hartanya. Buktinya ia sangat berkelimpahan. Ia sukses besar dalam usaha pertaniannya. Kebodohannya hanya satu, tetapi fatal, yaitu menganggap uang adalah segala-galanya. Ia menganggap bahwa dengan kekayaan yang ia miliki, hidupnya akan terjamin sampai tujuh turunan. Orang kaya ini disebut bodoh karena sama sekali tidak memperhitungkan Allah dalam hidupnya (bnd. Mzm. 53:2). Kenyataannya, ia sama sekali tidak memiliki apa pun untuk masa kekekalannya. Semua harta yang ia kumpulkan tidak dapat menolong dia menghadapi kehidupan sesudah kematian. Yesus menyebut orang kaya yang bodoh ini sebagai "tidak kaya di hadapan Allah" (21). Artinya, yang ia kumpulkan tidak berarti apa-apa di mata Tuhan, dan pada akhirnya ia tidak membawa apa pun untuk dipertanggungjawabkan di hadapan Sang Pencipta.

Kiranya kita tidak menjadi orang yang seperti itu. Boleh saja bekerja dan mengumpulkan uang karena kita memang membutuhkannya untuk mencukupi kebutuhan hidup kita dan keluarga kita. Yang harus diwaspadai adalah sikap hidup yang memberhalakan harta. Sekali harta diberi kuasa atas hidup kita, ia akan menjadi tuan yang kejam, yang merampas kebahagiaan kita. Ingat Tuan kita hanya satu, yaitu Tuhan yang adalah pemilik hidup kita dan sumber kepuasan sejati.

Berani beritakan Injil

Ayat : Lukas 12:1-12

Memberi kesaksian tentang Kristus di negeri kita ini gampang-gampang susah. Gampang karena negara kita mengakui dan menerima Kristen sebagai agama yang sah, yang umatnya harus dilindungi secara hukum. Bila demikian, seharusnya kita tidak khawatir atau takut untuk memberitakan kabar baik kepada setiap orang. Tentu dengan cara yang benar, santun, bukan memaksa, apalagi memanipulasi. Namun kenyataannya, sulit sekali bersaksi di negeri tercinta kita. Ada saja kelompok fanatik tertentu yang memaksa orang Kristen bungkam. Bahkan beribadah saja dilarang. Perlindungan yang seharusnya diberikan pemerintah tak pernah terlihat wujudnya. Tak heran banyak orang Kristen cari aman saja, alias tidak bersaksi.

Yesus mengingatkan para murid bahwa bersaksi bagi Kristus adalah panggilan untuk setiap orang yang menjadi pengikut-Nya. Ia mengingatkan mereka agar jangan sampai terseret pada kemunafikan orang Farisi. Mereka menutup-nutupi imannya dengan kebohongan karena takut dianiaya, mengaku tidak kenal Kristus padahal hidupnya milik Dia! Yesus mengingatkan bahwa anak Tuhan tidak boleh takut bersaksi karena ia tidak sendirian. Ada Allah Bapa yang memelihara (6-7) dan ada Roh Kudus yang hadir untuk memberi pertolongan agar dengan hikmat dan berani menyatakan kesaksian tentang Kristus (11-12). Orang yang tidak bersaksi karena lebih takut kepada manusia daripada kepada Tuhan sama saja dengan menolak kesaksian Roh Kudus yang ada di dalam dirinya. Padahal dirinya telah menerima dan mengalami kebesaran kasih dan anugerah Allah melalui Kristus.

Di perikop kemarin Yesus menegur dengan keras pemuka agama yang munafik. Di perikop ini Yesus mengingatkan para murid bahwa mereka juga bisa terjebak ke dalam kemunafikan seperti itu bila tidak bersandar penuh pada Roh Kudus. Oleh karena itu, jangan biarkan dunia ini mengintimidasi kita untuk bungkam bahkan menyangkali iman kita. Kita harus yakin bahwa pada saat kita bersaksi tentang Kristus, maka Roh Kudus akan memampukan dan membuat kita berani!

Jangan munafik

Ayat : Lukas 11:37-54

Pemimpin yang paling berbahaya adalah pemimpin yang munafik! Dari luar tampak baik, tetapi di dalamnya penuh kebusukan. Yang mereka katakan dan perlihatkan dalam perbuatan mereka sepertinya untuk kepentingan para pengikutnya, tetapi sebenarnya mereka sedang menipu dan memeras mereka. Parahnya, para pengikutnya tidak sadar sedang dimanipulasi!

Kecaman Yesus begitu keras sekali. Ia menyebut orang Farisi dan ahli Taurat celaka (42, 43, 44, 46, 47, 52). Apa kritik Yesus kepada orang Farisi? Mereka hanya peduli dengan hal yang kelihatan dari luar, padahal di dalamnya penuh dengan kebobrokan moral. Mereka mementingkan ibadah yang bersifat ritual sementara hal prinsip seperti keadilan dan kasih terabaikan. Mereka gila hormat! Tampilan saleh mereka adalah agar dipuji orang. Umat tertipu karenanya. Kesombongan dan kemunafikan mereka adalah dosa di dalam diri yang tidak terlihat orang lain, sama seperti kuburan yang tak terlihat isinya. Dari luar tampak putih dan indah, di dalamnya ternyata tulang belulang (lih. Mat. 23:27-28). Dosa ahli Taurat kemudian dikupas lebih gamblang lagi. Mereka menipu umat dengan legalisme agama. Umat disuruh melakukan berbagai aturan Taurat yang sudah ditambah-tambahi, yang ahli-ahli Taurat sendiri tidak mau melakukannya. Mereka menerapkan standar ganda, melakukan tebang pilih dalam menegakkan Taurat. Pada hakikatnya mereka adalah pembunuh nabi-nabi. Mereka sama seperti pemimpin agama Israel masa PL, yang menolak percaya apalagi menerima teguran nabi yang bersumber dari kekudusan Allah. Mereka bahkan membungkam nabi-nabi. Pengajaran mereka justru menjauhkan umat dari pengenalan akan Allah dan memiliki iman sejati.

Ngeri kalau melihat tuduhan Yesus atas para pemimpin agama Yahudi pada waktu itu. Mudah-mudah kita bukan seperti mereka. Namun kalau ternyata ya, berarti kita harus bertobat sebelum Tuhan menghukum kita. Kita perlu juga mendoakan para pemimpin kita agar diingatkan dan dijauhkan dari sikap kepemimpinan yang jahat dan munafik!

Pelita tubuh

Ayat : Lukas 11:33-36

Menurut Anda apa yang paling penting dalam hidup ini? Apa yang mendasari kehidupan ini? Apa yang menggerakkan kehidupan ini? Apakah hal yang paling penting dalam hidup ini adalah ketika kita bisa melihat kehidupan kita ke depan? Pandangan ini akan sangat memengaruhi langkah demi langkah yang kita lewati dalam hidup ini.

Allah memiliki sebuah tujuan dalam hidup kita yaitu agar kita bercahaya di dunia yang gelap ini. Akan tetapi sering kali mata kita dibutakan oleh kegelapan dunia, kita lebih suka mengikuti jalan di dalam dunia yang gelap ini. Mata kita suka akan tawaran dunia yang gelap. Atau mata kita disilaukan oleh gemerlap dunia yang membawa kita ke panggung kesombongan karena kerlap kerlip kemewahan dan kesuksesan.

Kita lupa bahwa mata adalah pelita tubuh kita (34). Mata secara fisik adalah pelita bagi tubuh, bukan pelita bagi akal (intelektual) saja, bukan juga pelita bagi jiwa saja, tapi pelita bagi tubuh secara keseluruhan. Dan selama pelita itu bekerja dengan baik, kita mempunyai cahaya dalam tubuh kita. Ketika mata kita sudah mulai mencoba untuk melirik dosa maka tubuh kita akan memberikan respons untuk datang kepada dosa. Jika mata kita baik, teranglah seluruh tubuh. Ketika mata kita sudah tidak memliki fokusnya maka jalan kehidupan kita mulai dikaburkan (35).

Mata fisik kita boleh saja mengalami gangguan, tetapi janganlah demikian dengan mata rohani kita. Kita harus tetap menjaganya agar senantiasa berfungsi dengan baik, karena itu akan menjadi penuntun bagi kita untuk tetap memandang kepada Allah

Bagaimana agar mata rohani kita tetap berfungsi dengan baik? Yaitu dengan selalu menjaga persekutuan pribadi kita dengan Tuhan, dengar-dengaran akan firman Tuhan, dan melakukan firman Tuhan itu dalam kehidupan kita sesehari. Walaupun kita harus kehilangan penglihatan kita secara fisik oleh karena sesuatu alasan, jangan sampai kita kehilangan penglihatan rohani kita juga. Mata rohani kita harus tetap baik dan sehat. Jangan sampai terjadi mata fisik kita melek, tetapi mata rohani kita justru tertutup dan gelap.

Untuk kemuliaan Tuhan

Ayat : Mazmur 8

Apa sih hebatnya manusia? Saya kira pertanyaan ini akan membuat sebagian orang marah karena merasa disepelekan. Bukankah banyak orang yang mengagungkan manusia karena memiliki potensi tidak terbatas dan mampu mengelola hidupnya secara otonom? Paling tidak itulah yang dikatakan banyak motivator di media massa. Di sisi lain, sebagian orang akan menjawab pertanyaan itu dengan merendahkan diri seraya mengakui bahwa klaim-klaim kehebatan manusia ternyata tidak berimbang dengan kejahatan manusia yang ada di mana-mana.

Mazmur 8 memfokuskan diri pada kemuliaan Tuhan (2, 10), yang telah menaruh manusia fana di tempat yang tinggi, hingga "hampir sama seperti Allah" dan bermahkotakan "kemuliaan dan hormat" (6). Tidak main-main, manusia memiliki otoritas Ilahi untuk mengelola seisi dunia ini (7-9). Itulah kemuliaan manusia. Mazmur 8 adalah respons "Soli Deo Gloria" terhadap penetapan Allah di permulaan penciptaan, yaitu menciptakan manusia menurut Allah atau sebagai gambar Allah (Kej. 1:26-28). Berarti saat manusia melihat diri sebagai makhluk mulia dengan kualitas Ilahi yang ada di dalam dirinya, ia sekaligus ingat bahwa kemuliaannya bersifat derivatif. Dia mewarisi kemuliaan Allah, merefleksikan kemuliaan Allah, dan menjadi saksi kemuliaan Allah kepada semua makhluk ciptaan.

Status mulia manusia sebagai gambar Allah memang sudah rusak karena dosa. Manusia tidak memuliakan Allah, sebaliknya menjadi batu sandungan buat orang lain mengenal Dia. Syukur kepada Allah, Kristus telah mati di salib menebus dosa manusia dan memulihkan gambar Allah dalam setiap orang yang percaya kepada-Nya. Kristus telah menjadi teladan gambar Allah sempurna (Kol. 1:15; Ibr. 1:3). Setiap kita yang sudah dipulihkan bisa melihat Kristus, meneladani-Nya, sehingga hidup kita kembali memuliakan Allah!
