Worship that Pleases God

Mark 12:30 
God was pleased when our worship is appropriate. Worship must be based on biblical truth, not our opinions about God.God was pleased when our worship is authentic. Worship is a response to your spirit against the Spirit of God.Worship that pleases God is closely linked with emotions and doctrine. We use our hearts and our heads.The best style of worship is worship that is done by the most appropriate way to show your love for God.God was pleased when our worship involves the intellect.God was pleased when our worship is practical. One of the sacrifices demanded of us in worship was sacrificing selfishness.

Point to ponder: God wants all of me.

Verse to memorize: "Love the Lord your God with all thy heart and with all your soul and with all thy mind and with all your strength." Mark 12:30

Question for thought: Which is more pleasing to God now, penyembahanku in public or private worship? What will I do with respect to this?

Developing Your Friendship with God

Proverbs 3:32 
If you want a relationship deeper and more intimate with God, you must learn to honestly express your feelings to Him, trust Him when He asks you to do something, learn to care about what He cares, and missed the friendship- His more than anything.God does not expect you to be perfect, but He is indeed fully stressed honesty.True friendship is built on openness. True friendship is not passive; act of true friendship.Bitterness is the greatest barrier to friendship with God.Suffering is the way God awaken us from spiritual stagnancy.Obedience is a requirement for intimate with God.

Point to ponder: My Closeness with God depended on my choice.

Verse to memorize: "Come closer to God, and He will draw near unto you." James 4:8a

Question for thought: What practical choices will I make today in order to become closer to God?

Being a Good friend of God
 
Romans 5:10 
Friendship with God is possible only by grace of God and the sacrifice of Jesus.
 
How to become a good friend of God: 
1. Through ongoing conversations. Friendship with God is built by sharing all the experiences of your life with Him.Knowing and loving God is our greatest privilege, and is known and loved by God is the greatest pleasure of God.Everything you do can be an act "to spend time with God" if God were invited to take part in it and you remain aware of his presence. 
2. Through constant meditation. Building a friendship with God is by reflecting on His Word throughout your day. Prayer makes you talk to God, meditation let God speak to you.

Point to ponder: God wants to be my good friend.

Verse to memorize: "Friendship with God provided for those who honor Him." Psalm 25:14 a (LB)

Question for thought: What can I do to remind myself to think about God and talk to him more often throughout the day?
